A Muslim friend send me this video where an Imam claims that Muslims love Jesus very much etc.
He asked me how I will respond to that.
VIDEO...
My Response :
1) Your Imam on the video declared: "Muslims love Jesus very much!"
Very good, then why do Muslims not follow His words according to the Gospels (Injil). - like His sermon on the mount in Matthew 5-7; to love and forgive one's enemies, marriage only between one husband and one wife etc.
2) May be your Jesus that you Muslims love so much (actually "Isa" according to your Quran) is not the same as the Jesus according to the Bible. There He is Yeshua, the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God (yes, this title He used for Himself many times).
3) If your Quran don't agree with that, which one is false? The Bible (that came long before Islam even exist) or the Quran that came long after. (Please, Don't tell me the Bible is corrupt. The Qur'an never said this; this story was only made up because Muslim scholars don't know how to answer the differences of the Quran with the Bible (like the Crucifixion etc.)

Actually, Muslims love Jesus more than the so called Christians. Jesus never called his followers 'Christians'.
Islam is the only non-Christian faith, which makes it an article of faith to believe in Jesus peace be upon him. No Muslim is a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus. But our believe in him is different from that of Christians. We believe he is a man, servant and prophet of God which even Bible confirmed it. John 14:24 "... and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which has sent me." Similarly, John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou has sent."
We believe that he was born miraculously without any male intervention, which many modern day Christians do not believe. But how Adam and Eve were created? Read Genesis 2:7 and Genesis 2:21-23. We also believe that Jesus gave life to the dead with God's permission. He healed those born blind, and the lepers with God's permission. Because Jesus said " My Father is Greater than I" John 14:28. John 10:29 "My Father is Greater than all". Read also Matthew 12:28.
Muslims do not follow the teaching of Jesus because Jesus was sent to the lost sheep of Israel alone. Although we Muslims follow the authentic teaching of Jesus, Moses and other prophets of God.
1. Jesus taught that there is only One God and Only God should be worshipped as taught in Deut 6:4, Mark 12:29. Muslims also believe this as taught in the Qur’an verse 4:171.
2. Jesus didn’t eat pork as taught in Leviticus 11:7 , and neither do Muslims as taught in the Qur’an verse 6:145.
3. Jesus greeted with the words “as salaamu alaikum” (Peace be with you) in John 20:21. Muslims also greet each other this way.
4. Jesus always said “God Willing” (inshallah), Muslims say this too before doing anything as taught in the Qur’an verses 18:23-24.
5. Jesus washed his face, hands, and feet before praying. The Muslims do the same.
6. Jesus and other prophets of the Bible prayed with their head to the ground (see Matthew26:39). Muslims do too as taught in the Qur’an verse 3:43.
7. Jesus had a beard and wore a throbe. It is Sunnah for Muslim men to do the same.
8. Jesus followed the law and believed in all the prophets, (see Matthew 5:17). Muslims do too as taught in the Qur’an verses 3:84, and 2:285.
9. Jesus’ mother Maryam dressed modestly by fully covering her body and wearing a headscarf (hijab) as found in 1 Timothy 2:9, Genesis 24:64-65, and Corinthians 11:6. Muslim women modestly dress the same as taught in the Qur’an verse 33:59.
10. Jesus and other prophets of the Bible fasted up to 40 days (see Exodus 34:28, Daniel 10:2-6. 1Kings 19:8, and Matthew 4:1-Muslims do so also during the month of Ramadan. Muslims are required to fast the full obligatory 30 days (see Qur’an 2:183), and others take it a step further by fasting an additional 6 days to increase their rewards.
11. Jesus taught to say “Peace to this house” when entering it (see Luke 10:5), and to also greet the people in the house with “peace be unto you”. Muslims do exactly what Jesus did and taught. When we enter our homes and the homes of others we say “Bismillah” and also greet with “as salaamu alaikum” (peace be upon you) as taught in the Qur’an verse 24:61.
12. Jesus was circumcised. Circumcision is 1 of the 5 fitrah in Islam, so Muslim men are required to be circumcised. According to the Bible in Luke 2:21, Jesus was eight days old when he was circumcised. In the Torah, Allah/God stated to the Prophet Abraham that it is an “Everlasting covenant” (see Genesis 17:13). In the Qur’an verse 16:123 Muslims are required to follow the religion of Abraham. The Prophet Muhammad said, “The Prophet Abraham circumcised himself when he was eighty years old.”

- Lawal Ahmad IsaHi Lawal. Let me clarify. When Adam and Eve sinned God promised that Jesus the Son of God would come as her descend and crush Satan's head (Genesis 3:15). Jesus would come into the world as a man in order to destroy the works of Satan. The rest of the Bible is the story of this promise being fulfilled. The promise was repeated to Abraham with the addition that all nations would be blessed by his seed which was Jesus (Genesis 12:1-3).The law was given to Moses (Exodus 20). The law was actually given to show that mankind was unable to fulfill all the requirements of the law. By Jesus's sacrificial death on the cross He fulfilled all the requirements of the law (Romans 8:4). So that all mankind has to do is to believe on Jesus, believing with your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confessing that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9, John 3:16) in order to be saved and guaranteed to go to heaven(Luke 23:42-43). Nice talking to you. Thanks.

- Thanks for your clarification but If the coming of Jesus was to die for the sins of men as you Christians want us to believe, why was he hiding himself from the Jews who wanted to execute him. John 7:1 "After these things Jesus walked in Galilee, for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him". John 11:53-54 "Then from that day forth, they took counsel together for to put him to death. Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews, but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples". Mark 7:24 "And from thence, he arose and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon and entered into a house, and would have no man known it, but he could not be hid".Similarly, Jesus prayed to be saved from death by God. If he truly came to die for the sins of mankind then why would he be afraid to die. Mark 14:32-46, Matthew 26:36-44, and John 12:27 "Jesus said:" Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father save me from this hour, but it for this cause came I unto this hour ". Jesus who purposely came to the world to die for the sins of mankind cried for God to save him not to killed. Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:35 Jesus said:" Eloi Eloi lamasacthani, which means, my God my God why has thou forsaken me? That means Jesus didn't willing to die.No man can die for the sins of another Ezekiel 18:1-30 Deuteronomy 24:16 Psalm 49:7 Jeremiah 31:30. This is because Jesus directly addressed himself as the son of man in 83 places of the Bible. Some of these places where he directly called himself 'Son of man' are: Matthew 16:13, Matthew 12:40, Matthew 24:38, Matthew 20:28, Matthew 10:23, Matthew 9:6, Matthew 12:32, Matthew 11:19, Matthew 8:20, Mark 2:28, Mark 9:31, Mark 10:33, Mark 10:45, Mark 13:34, Mark 14:21, Mark 14:62, Mark 14:41, Luke 6:22, Luke 7:34, Luke 9:44, Luke 9:58, Luke 9:56, Luke 18:8, Luke 17:24, Luke 17:30, Luke 22:22, Luke 27:48, Luke 24:7, John 3:14, John 3:13, John 5:27, John 7:27, John 6:27, John 6:53, John 13:31 etc.Jesus said: Matthew 15:24 "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel". And in Matthew 10:5-7 "These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans, enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand ".Put not your trust in princes, in the son of man, in whom there is no salvation. Psalm 146:3

- Hi. Jesus came to the world via Israel. He was born into a Jewish family. Born of royal lineage (descendant of King David in Matthew 1). However not all the Jews accepted Him, especially the Jewish leaders (John 1: 1-18). They actually wanted to kill as He told them that He was God. But His time to die as a sacrificIal lamb was not yet. Do He had to hide from them. Some Jews did believe in Him and they followed Him, from the 12 disciples up to the 500 witnesses (1 Corinthians 15). Jesus while He was on the earth was fully God and fully God (Philippians 2:6-11). He referred to Himself as the Son of Man and the Son of God.

- (John 6:40). The books of Exodus and Leviticus tell at great length the sacrificial system, in order to take away the sins of the Israelites. Now Jesus has offered Himself once and for all, there is no need for animal sacrifices anymore as Jesus paid the price for all mankind's sin (Hebrews 10:1-14). We only need to believe on Him.

- How can God hide to his creatures if he was really God. No any creatures can harm God. There is not a single clear unequivocal statement in the complete bible where Jesus himself says that I am God)Mathew {19:16} And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? {19:17} And he (Jesus) said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is,] God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.Mathew {23:9} And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. {23:10} Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, [even] Christ.Peter testifies that Jesus is a man; Acts {2:22} Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:Mathew {7:21} Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.John {17:3} Jesus said: And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.Mark {12:29} And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is,] Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:John {5:37} And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.Jesus (PBUH) response to the Christians in his second comingMatthew {7:22} Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? {7:23} And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

- In the beginning the triune God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1). God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit together as one created the heavens and the earth. Then after making the earth for mankind, God created God created man and woman. They were given the rule of the earth and told to fill the earth. They just had to obey one law that God gave them. However, one of God's created beings Lucifer rebelled against God and was thrown out of God's presence. So Lucifer now called Satan with the angels that followed him went to the earth. And there they tricked the man and woman to disobey God. As God had warned them that death would come to them and the earth, if they disobeyed Him, decay, death and the curse came to them and to the earth. God them a a promise of redemption through the offspring of the woman. God then clothed them by giving the skins to clothe them. Because of this some animals had to be killed and their blood shed. From this point the only way to approach God was by the sacrifice of animals to temporarily atone for their sins, so that they can approach God. This is why Abel's sacrifice was accepted and Cain's was not accepted. Murder and mayhem soon came to the world as mankind multiplied. So God put a temporarily stop to this by flooding the earth, allowing only one family to escape (Noah). From Noah's family mankind began to multiply again. They were supposed to fill the earth, but they tried to become their own God at the Tower of Babel. So God (let Us come down - Genesis 11:7), changed their languages from one into many and scattered them all over the world. Then God chose Abraham to further His plan to redeem all mankind back to Himself. He promised Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3 that he would bless him, give him a land (Israel), give him many descendants (Jesus God he Son as a man would be his descendant) and all the people of the world would be blessed through Abraham. Jesus would be the blessing to the world. Then through Moses God gave the Law to Israel and by extension to all the people of the world (10 commandments). The Law was given to show that it was impossible for mankind to obey God's law. They would always fall short and be in danger of going to hell. The forgiveness for the sins of Israel was only temporarily granted, when the High Priest would do an animal sacrifice with the shedding of the blood at the temple. This and the activities of the the judges of Israel, prophets and kings of Israel, were used by God as pointers to His plan being fulfilled, when Jesus came on the earth. Jesus the Son of God came as a humble man on the earth. He was born to a poor family. He lived among us an an ordinary man (John 1:1-14). He experienced all the things that man would experience and suffer, like tiredness, hunger, sorrow. Jesus though God chose to live as a man among us, His created beings, and to suffer the things at the hands of man. He even had to hide away from the people who wanted to kill Him, as a man. When He openly said that He and the Father are one (John 10:30-39). He knew then that His time to die as a man was not yet then. Then Jesus allowed Himself to be arrested by the Jewish leaders and to be crucified. He died as a sacrificial lamb for all the sins of mankind. So by this act all the sins of mankind past, present and future have been forgiven and wiped out, by any man or women who accepts the offer of forgiveness from God. No animal sacrifices were no longer necessary. Jesus became our temple to come into the presence of God. For this God allowed the temple building to be destroyed by the Romans as foretold by Jesus in Matthew 24. The temple building was no longer necessary and now an Islamic building the Dome of the Rock is built over the place where it used to stand. Jesus stated this in John 4:21-24 when He told the Samaritan woman that God will have worshipers when His worshipers will worship in Spirit and in truth. In verse 21 Jesus said that worshippers will neither worship on the mountain in Samaria or in Jerusalem. Now anyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour can worship anywhere in the world, anytime or anyplace. After His death, Jesus rose from the death , defeating the power of death in the process. He stayed in Israel for a further 40 days giving final instructions to His disciples before ascending to the heaven. He told them to spread His good news and disciples of Jesus all over the world. In His place the Holy Spirit was given (Acts 2) to all that believe in Him. Jesus will return to the earth once His good news has been proclaimed to all nations. Not geographical nations but people groups (Matthew 24:14). Then He will judge the earth. Those who rejected the salvation offer of Jesus will be declared guilty for their unforgiven sins and cast into hell. Those who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour will go to heaven (Ephesians 2:8-9).1

- Hugh Will FowlesI expect you to tell me a just unequivocal single verse where Jesus said "I am God ". If Jesus can addressed himself as the son of man unambiguously like in the following verses:Jesus directly addressed himself as the son of man in 83 places of the Bible. Some of these places where he directly called himself 'Son of man' are: Matthew 16:13, Matthew 12:40, Matthew 24:38, Matthew 20:28, Matthew 10:23, Matthew 9:6, Matthew 12:32, Matthew 11:19, Matthew 8:20, Mark 2:28, Mark 9:31, Mark 10:33, Mark 10:45, Mark 13:34, Mark 14:21, Mark 14:62, Mark 14:41, Luke 6:22, Luke 7:34, Luke 9:44, Luke 9:58, Luke 9:56, Luke 18:8, Luke 17:24, Luke 17:30, Luke 22:22, Luke 27:48, Luke 24:7, John 3:14, John 3:13, John 5:27, John 7:27, John 6:27, John 6:53, John 13:31 etc. If Jesus can addressed himself as the son of man unambiguously in several verses, he could have said it unambiguously to the Nazarenes that he was God.Moreover, Jesus is innocent on what you attributed to him because said clearly that he is not God. Jesus says in John 20:17, Gospel [Indeed, God is] my God, and your God.Exodus 34:14 Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.Mark 12:29, Gospel (For Jesus himself said,) "The first of all the commandments [is], 'Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God - [my God and your God] -is one Lord.'"Romans1:21- 23, Gospel Because when they knew God, they did not glorify [Him] as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like a corruptible man, and birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.Deuteronomy 6:4, TorahHear, O Israel, the Lord our God [is] one Lord. Mark 12:32, Gospel For there is [only] one God; and there is no other except Him. Isaiah 44:6, Torah The Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer the Lord of hosts says; "I am the First, and I am the Last; and there is no god beside Me - despite all these verses and others, yet Christians worship Jesus beside God almighty.Similarly, the Bible says God doesn't change, even Bible said that : Malachi 3:6 " I am the Lord, and I do not change". John1:18Jesus said : "No eye has ever seen God". Also in Exodus 33:20 God says to Moses: "ye cannot see my face, for no man can see me and live". Therefore, how many people saw Jesus, walked with Jesus, and ate with Jesus? Did they all die when they saw Jesus because you said Jesus was fully God on earth.

- AuthorHugh Will Fowles, Lawal Ahmad Isa, you did so much trouble to read all the verses in the Bible to try to proof your points. Why nor read the Bible as the Word of God as it is.1) Please start again with the original post. Read it again. You also agreed This Jesus you follow, Isa, is not the Jesus of the Bible (Yeshua, the Son of Man) To understand what this phrase means, you must read Daniël 7:13,14. Throughout the NT, all your quoted verses, refer to this prophecy in Daniel. Dan 7:27 refer to the coming one, the Messiah. That to Him that Jesus refer when He called Himself "Son of man".

- AuthorHugh Will Fowlesthanks for you trouble to explain it so clear. It's just such a pity that our friend won't read or accept it; only when God open the veil over his spiritual eyes 2 Cor 4 :3-4
AuthorLawal Ahmad Isa... Then may I ask you lastly: If you like the Bible so much (you study and quote all the many verses... or is it only those that support your claims?) Are you willing to accept the rest of the Bible's message about Jesus as well? Especially those parts about Jesus crucifixion and resurrection; Where He says "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life" (John 14:6) and ... "No one comes to the Father except through me"Or John 3:14-18 "14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. For God So Loved the World:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
