1. WHY OUR INTEREST IN ISLAM?

Yes, Muslim are also one of the many people groups that we focus on in our Social Media ministry. 

Why? There are four definite reasons to consider.

★First their Numbers: Fact is that 1,8 Billion people adhere to Islam worldwide – 1 out of every 4 people. 

★Second, because of "The Great Commission": That remain the most important task of the Church: To share the Gospel to all nations. Muslims are part of the unreached people block – as they are “unreached” with the Gospel to a great extend.

★The third reason: Although few Christians have a real interest in Muslims and Islam Evangelism, Islam is very much interested in us - in you and me! They have their plan for the whole world and Islam has an increasing influence on world events. Many Christians are ignorant about the Islam religion, believe the lie that Islam is a religion of peace and think it is just another choice in serving the Lord.

★ Lastly and most importantly why we also focus on Muslims:  - for the Glory and honour of God. Not only does Islam put their Allah in the place of Almighty God but they fully rejects the deity of Jesus Christ and the truth of the Gospel according to the Bible. God wants all the people that He created to know Him so that they can also glorify Him. Therefore all Muslims also need to know God, to hear the gospel, so that they can at least have the opportunity to decide to accept Him as Lord and Saviour.

2. WHY TRUTH-IN-LOVE? 


Truth and love are the essential components for a fruitful engagement with Islam. - Truth without love has offended, antagonized and alienated many Muslims. - Love without truth fails to disarm what binds them.
This book provides Christians with much needed insight into Islam and impetus to Muslim evangelism. It combines instruction on Islamic beliefs with compelling motivational content, explains the fundamentals of the Christian faith and sets out the Gospel for strongest appeal to Muslims. The apostle Paul’s method in Athens, how he reasoned with followers of the Greek religion – commending their devotion, yet challenging their false beliefs – is applied in our context. May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ grant the moving of His Spirit through these pages and use their message through you to His glory. Kevin Daly Worcester, South Africa January 2021


3. Overview of the Course 


The content was developed as the curriculum for an intensive five-day training programme, but is equally suited to self-study and for use in other training formats. 

The course comprises forty chapters in seven categories. 

  • Five motivational chapters establish the need to defend and proclaim the Christian faith and emphasize the need for personal integrity and consecration, explaining ‘burden’ and ‘calling’ as the Spiritual impetus to missions, finally inviting a response and commitment from the reader. 
  • Eight chapters in the category ‘Islamic beliefs and practices’ present Islam as the Muslim understands and practices it. 
  • A chapter on ‘Islam’s origins and relation to the Biblical faith’ considers the religion of the pagan Arabs before Muhammad and presents Islam as a reformed version rather than a complete break from those pagan beliefs and practices.  
  • Ten chapters on ‘evangelism skills and strategy’ show how the apostle Paul approached and reached adherents of other religions, explaining the Gospel and its purpose and suggesting relevant and attractive ways of presenting it to Muslims. 
  • Six chapters on the ‘foundational teachings of Christianity’ establish a solid basis for our understanding and sharing of the Christian faith. 
  • Five chapters on ‘challenging Islamic beliefs’ show how to refute the vital beliefs of Muslims on rational grounds. 
  • Finally, a ‘response to the challenges of Islam’ answers some of the objections Muslims often raise against Christian beliefs and concludes the content.
